Caitlin Garvey is a Chicago writer and English professor with an MFA in creative writing from Northwestern University.
Her work has appeared in Post Road, The Baltimore Review, and other literary journals. She is the author of The Mourning Report (Homebound Publications, 2020), a blend of memoir and reportage featuring interviews with a hospice nurse, an embalmer, an estate attorney and others who played roles surrounding her mother’s death. She is currently writing a novel about a woman who turns to conversational AI after a psychiatric hospitalization and spirals into an obsessive cycle with an endlessly agreeable virtual therapist. |
